One of the greatest natural resources of the Municipality of Vrsi is its beautiful and indented coastline, 34 km long. The coast is dominated by natural coves and hidden beaches, while in the areas of Vrsi-Mulo and Vrsi-Zukve you can find urban beaches with illuminated promenades.
Thanks to its natural and climatic advantages, the territory of Vrsi has been inhabited for more than 10,000 years, as evidenced by numerous archaeological remains from that ancient past. Settlement began in the 7th century AD, and the medieval settlements of Jasenovo, Vrsi, Sv. Toma and Seline were built on ancient and Roman remains. The famous Croatian poet Juraj Baraković had an estate in this area in 1586, and it is probably from this lineage that the aforementioned area is still called Barakovci today.
